FNL Coaching Requirements 2023
Thank you for your interest in coaching Friday Night Lights, our recreational 3v3 program.
We are an all volunteer program and we recognize the value of your time and effort.
In appreciation, The Soccer Pit offers a full scholarship to your child, whose team you will be coaching.
The $85 scholarship will be credited at the conclusion of the FNL season, in April 2023.
Games are held every Friday night at either 7PM or 8PM starting Feb 10, 2023 (practices start Jan 30, 2023). Games are generally 40 minutes; 10 minute quarters.
Teams are generally 6 to 8 players, with 3 or 4 on the field. This is dependent on the number of players signed up in each age division.
Coaching requirements:
- Pass the FYSA mandated background check. This requires your legal name, social security number, home address and email address. The Soccer Pit will pay the $40 fee for the background check.
- Attend a pre-season meeting (time and date to be determined)
- Complete 2 short FYSA required online courses (about 1/2 hour each)
- Hold weekly practice, generally at the Immokalee Sports Complex
- Coach your team at the assigned game time each Friday
- Adhere to the rules and policies of the Collier County Parks and Immokalee Sports Complex, and FYSA
- Demonstrate generally accepted principles of fair play and good sportsmanship.
- HAVE FUN!
The coordinator of FNL coaches is Manuel Preciado.
